Exposure Chambers
Model 625
This chamber is designed to accommodate our custom multi-well plates and standard disposable plates. Up to 2 plates can be used for exposure simultaneously. Various test configurations can be used with this 2-Plate Design. With it’s horizontal flow design, we can effectively deliver a test atmosphere directly to the entire multi-well plate. The optional use of the electrostatic precipitation (ESP) feature allows for particle deposition enhancement. This chamber can be operated by pulling the sample through using a vacuum, or pushing the sample through with positive pressure as long as the system exhaust is open to atmosphere.
Chamber Body: Polypropylene and Stainless Steel
Inlet/Outlet: Swagelok Fittings; 1/2” Inlet & Outlet
Flow Rates: 2 L/min when using ESP; ≤ 2 L/min without ESP
The exposure chamber should be used in conjunction with MedTec’s Heated Enclosure, diffusion humidifier, dryer, temperature/RH sensor for optimal performance.
Model 625S
This chamber is designed to accommodate our custom multi-well plates and standard disposable plates.
Chamber Body: Anodized Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Delrin®
Inlet/Outlet: Push-to-Connect Fittings; 1/2” Inlet, 3/8” Outlet
Flow Rates: 2 L/min when using ESP; ≤ 2 L/min without ESP
The exposure chamber should be used in conjunction with MedTec’s Heated Enclosure, diffusion humidifier, dryer, temperature/RH sensor for optimal performance.
Model 24N
This chamber is designed to accommodate the Costar® and cellQART® 24-well inserts. With it’s 24 nozzles we can effectively deliver a test atmosphere directly to each insert. The 24N chamber is typically operated in a push-pull manner. The test atmosphere source is pushed through the manifold at a flow rate of 1 L/min. On the exhaust side of the chamber housing, a vacuum pump pulls 0.3 L/min and because the chamber design allows for a uniform flow distribution, each nozzle see a flow of 12.5 mL/min. Mass Flow Controllers are recommended to be used to accurately control the flow rates.
Chamber Body: Anodized Aluminum
Manifolds: Anodized Aluminum; 1/4 NPT inlets, 1/8 NPT nozzles
Nozzles: Stainless Steel Swagelok
Flow Rates: 1 L/min at manifolds; 12.5 mL/min at nozzles
The exposure chamber should be used in conjunction with MedTec’s Heated Enclosure, diffusion humidifier, dryer, temperature/RH sensor for optimal performance.
